Position Summary:
The Senior Cloud Network Architect is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and support oversight of a scalable, resilient, enterprise-class cloud networking connectivity solution. This role requires working closely with business partners and cross-functional teams including network engineers, system administrators, software architects, information security engineers, and program delivery leaders to facilitate the seamless integration of applications and services into cloud environments.
Additionally, this role is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and regular testing of an operational support playbook for cloud connectivity that defines a responsibility assignment matrix and aligns with business continuity best practices. The Senior Cloud Network Architect must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in leveraging extensive subject-matter expertise to achieve connectivity-dependent business objectives
Position Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and implement cloud networking connectivity solutions including Microsoft Azure and IBM cloud environments.
  • Provide operational support oversight of production cloud network connectivity solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and regular testing of an operational support playbook to include a responsibility assignment matrix.
  • Align solutions with established business continuity, network security, and information security best practices.
  • Work with service leaders, program delivery teams, and technical teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify and work with business partners to deliver best-practice solutions to operate at scale.
  • Participation as a networking subject matter expert in a cross-functional cloud computing governing body.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cloud solutions and connectivity options and identify opportunities that could be leveraged to deliver business objectives.
  • Author functional requirements/specifications documents and present topics and solutions to various levels of IT and executive leadership.
  • Assess vendor solutions, developments, and test strategies.
  • Coordinate cloud network connectivity troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and resolve operational issues.
  • Regularly evaluate the performance of production cloud connectivity solutions for improvement opportunities and lifecycle assessment.
  • Solve complex problems with many variables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience with MS Azure, IBM Cloud, and other cloud computing solutions
- Provide operational support oversight of production cloud network connectivity solutions
- Develop, maintain, and regular testing of an operational support playbook to include a responsibility assignment matrix
- Align solutions with established business continuity, network security, and information security best practices
- Work with service leaders, program delivery teams, and technical teams to achieve business objectives

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field
- 5 to 7 years of experience with MS Azure, IBM Cloud, and other cloud computing solutions
- Proven experience and expertise in traditional on-premise network operations including design, implementation, and support responsibilities
-Proven experience in cloud migration initiatives
