Position Summary:
The Tax Analyst II will have a dual role within the tax department. (1) Assists in all aspects of tax compliance, including tax workpaper and tax return preparation, tax provision calculations and financial forecasting tasks, and other tasks as needed. (2) Provides support on the implementation of process improvements, system automation, and data analytics. Assists with improving efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes, and identifying, updating, and maintaining tax technology. Works closely with tax department team, and other departments, to recommend and implement solutions to mitigate issues identified.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists with all aspects of the tax compliance process including tax return workpapers, tax return preparation, estimated payments, etc.
  • Assesses, documents, and improves processes and data flows related to tax.
  • Assists with tax planning/forecasting projects.
  • Assists with drafting responses to tax notices
  • Works closely with Tax Team Members to actively seek and identify areas in the Tax Operations processes that are good candidates for process improvement and provide recommendations for system/process optimization.
  • Implements and maintains tax automation and reporting tools with various systems.
  • Stays informed on emerging tax technologies and shares learnings with the Tax Team.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 2-3 years' experience in tax compliance, tax accounting and tax software systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Working knowledge of tax, accounting, and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently identify and resolve issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Open to Remote or Hybrid
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience with SharePoint, Onesource, SAP/S4 Hana, Power BI, and Alteryx
